Our very own Imogen Henry-Campbell was one of just four young rising stars in financial services to be selected to meet with Chancellor, Rishi Sunak, whilst he presented his Mansion House speech earlier this week.
Rishi unveiled a ‘new chapter’ for financial services’ setting out the government’s vision for an open, green and technologically advanced financial services sector that is globally competitive and acts in the interests of communities and citizens, creating jobs, supporting businesses, and powering growth across all of the UK.
He chose to invite younger people in the financial services to the event, as he believes these ‘future leaders’ will be key in overcoming the challenges facing the economy and finance industry post Covid. He commented:
“I want to speak today about the future of financial services in this country and around the world. Given my subject, I’m delighted to see so many young leaders here today. I know that your talent, energy and imagination matter more for this industry’s success than any government policy.”
