On 12 July 1962, Robert Kiln and his two business partners put £5,000 of their own personal wealth together and founded a small, niche underwriting syndicate at Lloyd's of London.
Their partnership was founded on core values of integrity, excellence, empowerment, accountability and innovation, all of which helped establish Kiln as a business to be both trusted and respected.
Please view below some of the events which helped Kiln mark its 50th birthday during 2012.
The year included the design and build of a commemorative clock which now graces the reception of Tokio Marine Kiln's head office in the Walkie Talkie building at 20 Fenchurch Street.
The clock was made by Dent of London, world famous as the makers of Big Ben and the platform clock for the new Eurostar terminal at St Pancras station, London.
